Really lovely. I’d recommend staying here for a night or two and exploring the town in a more leisurely fashion. Like Amsterdam, but cleaner, less crowded.

• ***Het Mauritshuis: the national portrait gallery. Wonderful small collection, including girl with a pearl earring and the goldfinch. One of the largest collections (the largest?) of Rembrant and Vermeer.
• ***Panorama Mesdag, Zeestraat 65: expensive, and seemingly minor, but do it! Magical.
• **Binnenhof: the administrative zone, historic, grand.
