A wonderful city – go!
Highlights:
Hotel: we stayed with Kate in a great area near Frogner Park.
Food:
- ***Bass Oslo: really great meal, small plates focused. In the hip and vaguely Berkeley-ish Grünerløkka neighborhood.
- **Lanternen: nearish to the Kon-Tiki museum. A bit for tourists, but the food was good and we enjoyed the settling and people watching.

Transportation:
We took the “ferry” from Oslo to Germany – a big cruise ship (the Color Line, runs daily), with a water slide, many restaurants, great views. We really enjoyed this. Great views on either side of the journey.
