Yes, not France, but might as well be. We were in town for the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. Galen loved it. It makes the town very hard to get around (most streets blocked) and it’s incredibly loud. Generally speaking I don’t think it’s worth going to Monaco, but if you’re in the area stop by for a few hours of exploring. Stay somewhere else and take the train in.

  • **Le Meridien Beach Plaza, 22 Avenue Princesse Grace, Monte Carlo, Monaco, 98000. This was nicer than expected (for a huge hotel). They charge for literally everything (parking, breakfast, etc.) but the rooms are big and everything new and well maintained.
  • **Restaurant Pulcinella, Rue do Portier 17. This was good, and the street is cute and a bit out of the way, all Italian restaurants.
