This is high production, very touristy (mostly with the Asian and Indian tour groups) and still pretty excellent. It’s not cheap ($80/ticket) but it comes with a very dramatic gondola assent and then a full range of activities, from skiing year round, a very high suspension bridge, restaurants, dog sledding, and a toboggan run. Note that it’s not quite as scenic as the Cliff Walk in Grindelwald. More of a tourist place than somewhere to ski.

Make it a bigger adventure by adding this hike:

Villars / Les Diablerets is part of Glacier 3000 and the closest “real” resort to our house (ignoring the kids-only places). While not my top pick, I prefer it to Port du Soleil and it’s excellent on a powder day. Big enough, well-groomed, lots of terrain for all skill levels.
